What was the highlight of Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel
Sunshine and the Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel made for a wonderful holiday!
We had booked bed & breakfast in early October. Our 'Junior Suite' was spacious, very clean and had a fabulous view over the extensive palm tree-clad pool area to the sea. There are several pools that are kept immaculately clean and cater for all ages. There was a very wide choice of cereals, fresh fruit, and cooked meals available for our buffet breakfast. The gym was one of the best we've found in a hotel, the equipment being very modern and well maintained.
Probably as a function of the season drawing to an end, one of the hotel's two restaurants appeared to have closed prematurely. Apart from several small restaurants short walks either east or west from the hotel along the splendid vehicular-free promenade, Antilla, itself, appears to have few attractions or amenities. The hotel's clientele is predominantly Spanish and some knowledge of Spanish or a phrase book is handy. Prior to our visit, we received several emails directly from the hotel - all in Spanish. Among them was a lengthy two-page .pdf document entitled "Derechos y obligaciones de las personas usuarias de servicios turísticos." This is clearly important; however, when checking in at the hotel, we were told that a copy in English was not available. This seemed strange. We took a taxi to and from Faro Airport and Antilla when it became apparent that the car hire companies we contacted in Portugal would charge a daily rate of Euros 12-15 for their vehicle to be taken into Spain and our hotel would charge up to Euros 18 per day for parking.

What was the highlight of Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel
Excellent location and very good entertainment for children.
The location is amazing. The breakfast was really good but getting a coffee was very difficult.
The sofa bed was dangerous and my son cut his leg on a very sharp piece of metal sticking up. I did report this so I hope it has been taken care of as it’s a bad accident waiting to happen.

Short vacations in family
All the hotel is very good, clean and beautiful. Food is good and diverse. Kids have activities and can be at the miniclub. Staff is nice. Activities and shows for kids and adults.
Dinner included is very expensive. Spa has specific hours for kids and that is very limited for the ones having kids.
